Visionary Pathways Schools

Our Founding Team
Visionary Pathways Schools, Inc. (VPS) was built on a legacy of purpose, opportunity, and the belief that early exposure changes lives. That legacy began with Levi Arthur, the great-grandfather of VPS Founder LaTonia Moore.
As a student at Douglas High School, Levi participated in hands-on learning that opened his eyes to the possibilities of skilled work. Recognizing his potential, his principal personally connected him with an opportunity at Sherwin-Williams. That introduction became the doorway to a lifelong career. Levi began working there as a teenager and remained with the company for 75 years. His loyalty, craftsmanship, and steady rise through the trades provided stability for his family and proved a lasting truth:
When students are given a clear pathway early in life, they do not just enter the workforce; they build a future.
LaTonia carried that truth with her throughout her own career. As a former Career Tech Coordinator and Career Tech Instructor, she witnessed firsthand how students thrive when they are given exposure, support, and real-world skills. Her experience in education, combined with her family’s legacy, sparked the vision that became Visionary Pathways Schools.
But VPS was not built on one person’s vision alone. It has been strengthened through collaboration with leaders who are equally committed to reimagining education. Bryson Hunt, VPS Board Chair, brought strategic leadership and community-centered governance to help shape the school’s foundation. Samaya Williams, Chief Academic Officer and a scholar currently completing her Ph.D. in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum at the University of Oklahoma, helped design an academic model grounded in research-based practices, instructional excellence, and student-centered learning. Together, their combined expertise laid the groundwork for a school that prepares students for life beyond high school long before graduation.
VPS is more than a high school. It is a promise. A school designed to provide students with industry-recognized credentials, paid internships, hands-on training, and the academic preparation needed to succeed in college, apprenticeships, or direct entry into the workforce. Through strong partnerships and authentic learning experiences, VPS is being built so that every student can graduate with experience, confidence, and direction.
We believe that when students are given authentic opportunities, they do not simply follow a path; they create a legacy.
